East Moriches Elementary and Middle School students learned important lessons in fire safety this week as part of local Fire Prevention Month activities.
Members of the East Moriches Fire Department visited both schools to lead interactive assemblies and demonstrations, helping students understand how to stay safe during an emergency and the importance of having a family fire plan.
As part of the week’s events, students also participated in a Fire Prevention Poster Contest, where they showcased their creativity and knowledge through original artwork. Contest winners will enjoy a special reward next week — a ride to school on a fire truck, courtesy of the East Moriches Fire Department!
The district extends sincere thanks to the East Moriches Fire Department for their continued partnership and dedication to keeping our community safe through engaging educational outreach.
